Facethepuckout can make it an even 100 up for Donnacha
Donnacha O'Brien's quest for a maiden century in a season should be realised this afternoon.
The champion jockey elect goes to Fairyhouse on 99 winners for this campaign and can bring up his ton on Facethepuckout for his brother, Joseph.
Indeed, with over a month still to go in the season, there is every chance that the former champion apprentice will be eyeing up the season record of Joseph.
Donnacha's elder brother turned trainer notched up 126 winners when he was champion for the last time in 2013 and that's a tally the current championship leader could have in his sights.
Remarkably, each of the 99 winners so far have been supplied by either his father Aidan or Joseph.
Facethepuckout looks set to be Donnacha's 40th winner of the season for Joseph in the opening claimer.
A winner of a nursery at Gowran Park, Facethepuckout has been relatively consistent this year and probably just felt the ground a bit soft last time out and is expected to come good again for a real family success as the son of Excelebration is owned by their sister, Sarah.
A quick-fire double could be on the card with King's Field a more tentative selection in the following Dandy Man maiden.
This is a typical end of season maiden for older horses and we are unlikely to see a star pitch up here.
But if King's Field steps forward from his debut he might just shade this.
While Donnacha O'Brien is expected to take the headlines with his 100th winner of the season, there is also listed action on the card.
A field of 10 runners are declared for the Ballyhane Blenheim Stakes and while Aidan O'Brien holds a strong hand it's Ger Lyons who is picked to supply the winner.
Leopardstown maiden winner Inverleigh beat his stable companion Burmese Waltz last month and with the latter winning since and Inverleigh expected to improve for the experience first time out, he looks capable of moving up the ranks here.
Sheila Lavery's Breaking Story is the other runner that comes here with just a debut win to his name and maybe they'll be caught out by more experienced rivals such as All The King's Men or Lethal Promise.
But Inverleigh is trusted to progress enough here.
T For Tango has threatened to win for Richard O'Brien and could secure a first win for his new trainer in the penultimate race.
Johnny Murtagh's fine season can continue with Lethal Power in the finale.
3.45 King's Field
4.15 Count D'orsay
5.45 Captain Power
6.15 T For Tango
6.45 Lethal Power
