Bianca Minola to keep improving
Fresh from landing a few nice bets at Cork on Saturday, BIANCA MINOLA (7.10) may be able to follow that victory up at Roscommon this evening.
Limerick-based trainer Richard O'Brien is starting to assemble a nice team of horses and is growing all the time and while Bianca Minola won't be in the top rank, she could keep improving for a step up in trip after making a winning start for her new trainer.
Bianca Minola's ability to handle testing conditions will be a big plus again this evening and she should be able to score for the second time in just a few days under Billy Lee.
Ger Lyons (far right) landed the Group Three Athasi Stakes with Lightening Pearl at Naas yesterday somewhat to his own surprise but he may not be as shocked to see FUTURE PROOF (5.40) win again in the opener.
A Leopardstown maiden winner on the debut, Future Proof is picked out here to deny the highly rated Burgundy Boy who may just want nicer ground for Dermot Weld.
The seven-race card is split with some National Hunt action at the end of the card and in the bumper it will be interesting to see if there are any market moves for BISHOPS QUARTER (7.40).
Trained by Presenting Percy's trainer Pat Kelly and carrying the same familiar colours of Philip Reynolds, Presenting Percy won his bumper in a modest Ballinrobe event so it'll be interesting to see what Bishops Quarter has to offer after a fairly impressive victory point-to-pointing last year.
A chance is taken with RIGHTBACK ATYA (8.10) in the handicap chase.
Philip Rothwell's 10-year-old may just be caught by the handicapper after an impressive Navan win earlier in the year but he ran with credit before falling at Fairyhouse since that and if putting a line through his run in the Ladies National Rightback Atya might be some value here in an open looking race.
5.40 Future Proof
6.40 Like An Open Book
7.10 Bianca Minola
7.40 Bishops Quarter
8.10 Rightback Atya
8.40 Screaming Rose
