Hoops boost squad

PAT Fenlon believes that new signings Dave Webster and Gavin Brennan will be a success at Shamrock Rovers next season.

"I'm delighted to have brought the two lads in and I think they'll fit in well to the squad that we're building for next year. They're both still young players but they also have a lot of experience in the league," said Fenlon.

Webster arrived at Rovers after a seven-year spell with Bray Wanderers while Brennan comes to Tallaght Stadium from Drogheda United and he joins his brother Ryan in the Hoops squad.

Rovers have also re-signed keepers Barry Murphy and Craig Hyland.

Meanwhile, champions Dundalk have also added to their squad with the signing of impressive young defender Paddy Barrett from Galway FC.

Dundalk are still hoping to agree terms on a new deal with Richie Towell, with John Mountney and RuaidhrĂ Higgins also expected to re-sign.
