Dundalk stages a rare Tuesday and afternoon fixture today with action starting at 1.55pm on the all-weather.

The lights will be on before the eight-race programme comes to an end though and the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Race is the richest on the card with BALMARI (3.25, Dundalk) expected to land the lion's share of €20,000.

Mick Halford's son of Mukhadram improved dramatically from debut to his run here last month and another step forward should be enough to see him fend off the 92 rated Prince Of Naples who just seems to be struggling to run to that sort of rating at the moment.

Halford and Ronan Whelan could be already among the winners by this stage as they combine for the likely opening race favourite SPELGA (1.55, Dundalk) who seeks a hat-trick today.

Declan McDonogh was among the winners here on Friday for Joseph O'Brien and will be hoping to make the most of his chance on GOLD FACTORY (4.00, Dundalk) in the Christmas Party Package Nursery.

Earlier on the card the Augustine Leahy-trained ECOEYE (2.55, Dundalk) stood out in the claimer.

Some of the other runners are in the race on better terms than the seven-year-old but having just failed to hit the mark in handicap company Ecoeye might be better suited by this drop in class with Gavin Ryan a positive addition in the saddle.

Henry de Bromhead landed Grade One honours at the weekend and his fine run of form across all levels can continue with ABANICA (4.30, Dundalk) who is the mount of UK-based apprentice Scott McCullagh.
