Vins visit for Blunden birthday

O’TOOLE’S are 10 years on Blunden Drive. To celebrate they are holding a series of events.

One of the highlights is a special reunion hurling match between themselves and St Vincent’s. That will take place at the O’Toole’s HQ on Friday week, June 24th (7.30pm). The Kings of Swing are determined to show they still have it!

Back in the ’90s, the Larriers won three Dublin SHC titles in succession. In two of those finals, ’95 and ’97, they beat Vincent’s.

O’Toole’s had some gifted hurlers. And the brilliant Brendan McLoughlin still minds the sticks today. Paul Gettings played in defence. Peter Pringle was the prince of full-backs. And Aidan Mulligan wasn’t too generous with the popcorn.

The Marino men also didn’t lack calibre. They had personnel like Shane Dalton, Mossy McGrane and Seanie McDermott.

All O’Toole’s and Vincent’s people, and indeed all hurling folk, are most welcome on the night.
