TWO teams who may well feel they left points behind them last weekend enter the last-chance league saloon here.
Tipp were three points up with 16 minutes remaining, and still two clear entering the last few minutes, and yet came away from Waterford with nothing.
On the same day, Clare pushed Kilkenny to the brink in Ennis but the concession of three goals and – even more glaringly – the accumulation of 18 wides, 12 after the break, proved the Banner's undoing.
The net result is that both counties remain in limbo, stuck on four points.
Clare have the better scoring difference; ergo Tipp must win.
The latter are at home and have picked a team that looks very close to championship strength; ergo Tipp might well win too.
ODDS: Tipp 8/13, Draw 10/1, Clare 13/8
