Darcy and Andrews can drive Brigid's onEVENING HERALD DUBLIN SFC SECOND ROUND

St Anne's v St Brigid's (Newcastle, Tonight, 6.0)

BRIGID'S took the fast train out of Division 2. They are keen to enhance their work with a Championship spurt.

Ballymun was the ideal test of their resolve. Brigid's answered all the questions late on, after a slow start.

Paddy Andrews was productive, Mark Cahill was tidy with the frees and Shane Supple made saves they would have been applauded in Portman Road. Barry Cahill had a telling influence while the deployment of Ken Darcy at full-forward worked a treat.

Anne's were thrilled to get over Fingallians. It was a noble display. Anne's play bright football. They keep on producing talented players.

One of their most respected figures, Niall Bergin, scored two goals against Fins. He's been a dab-hand at decorating the hills of Bohernabreena. Alan Wright's goalkeeping gloves are the perfect fit but if Darcy can hold edge over Seán Murphy, the Anne's full-back, then the Blanch men should prevail.
