Rory on call for crokes

KILMACUD Crokes are expecting Dublin full-back Rory O'Carroll to be available for next Sunday's Evening Herald Dublin SFC final clash with St Brigid's.

O'Carroll has relocated to France in recent weeks and is teaching in Orléans, a city some 130 kilometres from Paris, as part of his Erasmus Year in college.

He returned for yesterday's thrilling semi-final win over St Vincent's and though he will be in France this week, Crokes manager Paddy Carr said he was counting on O'Carroll for next Sunday.

"He will certainly clock up a lot of miles between now and then but yes, we'll be expecting him back for the final next week," he confirmed.

O'Carroll is also up for an All Star next Friday when the awards are handed out in Citywest Hotel after a string of impressive performances at full-back for Dublin this summer.

Crokes welcomed back two of their walking wounded yesterday, with both Mark Vaughan and Kevin Nolan returning after enforced absences and while both are now clear of injury, it is unlikely that either will start against Brigid's next Sunday.
