Rhode can edge past Moorefield into decider

ONLY for St Vincent's unexpectedly easy win over Portlaoise, Rhode's equally impressive nine-point hammering of Navan O'Mahony's would have got more airtime.

Niall McNamee, Brian Darby and Anton Sullivan were all in dangerous-looking form and confidence has never been a problem for this club, who have lost two provincial finals within the past five years.

Moorefield had a decent win themselves - a four-point defeat of Rathnew in Newbridge - with √Čanna O'Connor, son of Jack, scoring eight points, including two frees and three '45s.

They're big and physical too, but at home and with the swagger scoring four goals in their previous game naturally adds to a side's armoury, we're inclined to think Rhode will make it through.

ODDS: Rhode 5/4, Draw 7/1, Moorefield 5/6

VERDICT: Rhode

MUNSTER CLUB SHC FINAL

CRATLOE v KILMALLOCK

(Limerick, Tomorrow, 2.0, Live TG4)

WHETHER mentally or physically - or both - it's unrealistic to expect Cratloe's extra-time Munster football semi-final loss to The Nire last week in Dungarvan won't have an effect tomorrow in Limerick.

Two-thirds of the team played last Sunday but there's just so much quality in their ranks, we think they'll do it anyway.

ODDS: Cratloe 4/6, Draw 15/2, Kilmallock 6/4

VERDICT: Cratloe

CONNACHT SFC FINAL

BALLINTUBBER v COROFIN

(McHale Park, Tomorrow, 2.0, TG4 deferred)

So long as Corofin can keep a lid on Cillian O'Connor's goal-scoring tendencies, the Galway side should have the requisite scores to prevail.

ODDS: Ballintubber 5/2, Draw 15/2, Corofin 2/5

VERDICT: Corofin

LEINSTER SFC SEMI-FINAL
