Plunkett's to power on

pREVIEW: DUBLIN SFC rOUND 2

ST OLIVER PLUNKETT'S/ER v ST ANNE'S (Parnell Park, Today, 4.0)

THE Plunkett's result against Crokes was the biggest one of all. Like Donegal v Dublin, it wasn't written in the stars.

The Bohernabreena had a famous victory of their own to celebrate - overcoming their neighbours, Thomas Davis.

They'll be seeking a sharp start here.

They have youth in abundance, and cultured personnel in Scott Fulham, Daniel Watson and Craig McKeown.

For Plunkett's Ross McConnell and Declan Lally were at their best against Kilmacud. Four Brogans were on duty - James, Paul, Alan and Bernard, who scored two goals.

'Nesty' Smith was up to his old tricks. Knocking out such a respected heavyweight has put Plunkett's firmly back into the championship ring.

They should have far too much firepower today as they strive for a historic first title.

VERDICT: St Oliver Plunkett's/ER
