O'Dwyer's burn Ashe

O'Dwyer's held off the battling challenge of Thomas Ashe to claim the Dublin U16 FL Division 6 crown by 4-6 to 2-8 in Bremore Park last Saturday afternoon.

Michael Corcoran gave a superb display in goals for the winners who seized the initiative through a brace of goals from Daniel Doherty.

Daniel Hughes and John Fallon also found the net for the Balbriggan club and there were similarly influential performances over the hour by captain Hughes, James Keenan, Josh McNamee, Peter Lawless and Sam McCurdy.

Michael Battersby's heroics for the visitors ensured the tie remained competitive throughout as he accrued 2-5 while there were also positive showings from Gerry Rutledge, Shane Tynan, Derek Barry, Stephen Kane, Conor Donnelly and Jack Stynes.
