New Dubs boss to be revealed tomorrow
The new Dublin senior football manager may not be revealed at tomorrow's annual convention, as had been intended.
The sub-committee set up to oversee the appointment process were understood to have narrowed their search but further meetings were scheduled for today.
While it is still their intention to have a replacement for Jim Gavin agreed by tomorrow's convention in Parnell Park, a swift appointment is dependent on the outcome of those meetings.
The process is unlikely to drag into next week, however.
The sub-committee have been issued the authority not only to choose a new senior football manager, but to ratify the appointment without the requirement for a full county board meeting.
Dessie Farrell remains the favourite to take over, although speculation last weekend linked both Tommy Conroy and Declan Darcy to the job while there were also reports that Pat Gilroy had been given 'first refusal' on the post.
