Mun to end Ravens' hopes

PREVIEW: DUBLIN SFC ROUND 2

BALLYMUN KICKHAMS v FINGAL RAVENS

(Parnell Park, 5.30)

FINGAL are the division 2 champs. They had a point to spare over Round Tower, Clondalkin in the first round - it was a battle from first whistle til last.

Ballymun had a more comfortable journey against Olaf's, but it took them a while to feel comfortable in the boots.

Derek Byrne hit seven points, and Philly McMahon helped himself to 1-2. Off the bench came John Small, Kevin Leahy and Dean Rock - some trio to be able to throw into the mix.

David Mitchell is the Fingal number one. And they have other aces in Ian Kavanagh, Darren Daly, Alan Casey and Ciarán Norton.

However, Kickhams are in a different league than most teams in the county.

They have talent, strength and pace all over the park and are always in great shape. They should be there or thereabouts when the Clery Cup is being handed over by County Board chairman Andy Kettle

VERDICT: Ballymun Kickhams
