Memorial fund for Brendan going strong
The annual Brendan Hayes Golf Classic was held in Rathcore Golf Club.
St Pat's Palmerstown player Brendan died in 2004 from cancer and since then, under the Chairmanship of Dave Brady, a Golf Classic has been held in his honour to raise Funds.
Dave Brady played senior football with Brendan in Saint Patrick's Palmerstown and this year announced to all in attendance in the Silver Granite Pub that over €11,000 was raised on the day, bringing the total raised since 2006 to just over €100,000.
This Year Dave and the Committee decided to Donate the Money to the Children's Hospital Crumlin.
Brendan's daughter Chloe presented the prizes on the night and thanked everybody for participating in her Dad's memory. Pictured above are Dave Brady (left), Chairman St Pat's Palmerstown, and Mark Kelly of Dublin Bus (centre) with the NFL Division 1 Cup, the Delaney and Sam Maguire Cups.
