Marren superb for Sligo
Sligo's Adrian Marren was the hat-trick hero as his county earned their first win of the current campaign against Wexford at Markievicz Park with a 4-14 to 1-17 victory. Marren amassed a massive 3-5 for the Yeats County.
At Tullamore, Roscommon produced a fine closing quarter to collect their second win.
An Anton Sullivan penalty put Offaly on level terms, 1-6 to 0-9, with 13 minutes gone in the second half, but Roscommon showed the greater hunger, composure and fitness to edge across the finish line, 0-12 to 1-6.
Longford's greater strength in depth proved decisive in a feisty clash at Kingspan/Breffni Park. Glenn Ryan's midlanders initially laboured, but eventually came out of their shell, with Seán McCormack cutting Cavan's lead, 0-4 to 0-3, at the interval.
The Leinster men were a different proposition on the restart and impressive substitute James McGivney eased his side into the lead, 0-5 to 0-4, after 41 minutes.
Longford then played with a swagger to win 0-10 to 0-7.
Antrim made it two wins out of two as well by defeating Tipperary, 1-13 to 0-13.
