King puts it up to Royals

LEINSTER U-15 FOOTBALL BLITZ

DUBLIN'S U-15 North side recovered well from an early defeat to experience a worthwhile morning's work in their intercounty blitz in Portmarnock last Saturday.

The Dubs suffered an setback when beaten by eventual winners Meath South by 3-8 to 0-7 in their opening fixture.

There were few positives to derive from that display but Rob Mackey of Na Fianna, David Hawkshaw from St Brigid's and Neil Matthews from Erin's Isle all equipped themselves well in a defensive capacity.

James Doran of Na Fianna accounted for the bulk of Dublin's scores with Daniel Dennaher of St Sylvester's also finding the target.

There was better news in their second outing as Meath North were accounted for on a 2-14 to 1-4 scoreline.

Matthews was once again to the fore while Denneher and his clubmate Daniel Brennan added scores as the Dubs controlled affairs throughout.

Nicholas King was another to impress with the Erin's Isle player kicking some glorious points in the second-half while Conor Carberry from Naomh Fionnbarra put in a lively shift against the Royals.
