Kilmacud to push on past Pat's
EVENING HERALD DUBLIN SHC 'A' GROUP B
ST PAT'S, PALMERSTOWN v KILMACUD CROKES
(Glenaulin Park, Tonight, 5.45)
CROKES will go to the ball. Pat's are a compact side who have been burdened with injuries. They have improved as a unit. The draw against Faughs would tell you that, and they weren't far off against St Vincent's and O'Toole's.
They were beaten handsomely two weeks ago in Ballyboden, but their team-sheet on that occasion resembled the shadow cabinet.
Liam Rushe had a profitable evening. Ten points in all, seven from the placed ball. Conor Haugh keeps the house tidy. So do Graham Kelly, Barry O'Hanlon, Kevin Ward and Darren Mooney.
Kilmacud were disappointed to lose to Vincent's. They'll be hoping for donations from Seánie McGrath, Barry O'Rorke, Kevin O'Loughlin and Donal McGovern. Crokes have a solid structure and with Aodán de Paor, Niall Corcoran and Conor Clinton around the engine room they will dictate matters.
SO FAR -- St Pat's (P): Lost to Vincent's by 6 points. Lost to O'Toole's by 2 points. Drew with Faughs. Lost to Ballyboden by 23 points. Kilmacud Crokes: Lost to Ballyboden by 11 points. Beat Faughs by 2 points. Beat O'Toole's by 2 points. Lost to Vincent's by 3 points.
VERDICT: Kilmacud Crokes
