Kilmacud seeking sixth sense to see off maiden Jude's

Kilmacud Crokes will aim to claim their sixth Dublin Senior Hurling Championship when they face St Jude's in next Friday's county decider.

The Stillorgan outfit tasted their first success back in 1966 with their most recent title garnered as recently as two years ago.

Their opponents in three days' time are still waiting to secure their premier county title with near neighbours Faughs leading the way having enjoyed 31 victories to date.

25 clubs have won the championship since the competition's inception back in 1887.

Paths to the final . . .

Both finalists on Friday have enjoyed unbeaten runs to the final with St Jude's just dropping one point in the round-robin stages when drawing 0-17 apiece with Lucan Sarsfields in their final group game.

Crokes have been equally impressive and their five victories have included a brace of wins over current holders Ballyboden St Enda's.
