Kickhams and Counsel still top dogs

Ballymun KICKHAMS maintained their perfect league campaign to date as they overcame ST JUDE'S by 2-13 to 1-6 in their Dublin Adult Football League Division 4 encounter at Páirc Ciceam last Saturday evening.

Their was their 13th of an impressive season and it was their defence that provided a solid foundation with full-back Seán Brennan, Keith Roche and wing-back Cathal O'Tighe all excelling over the hour.

Paddy Small and Cian Gerrard added goals for Kickhams who pulled clear thanks to further scores from impressive centre-forward Andrew O'Brien, Small and Eddie Christie.

Hot on their heels remain GOOD COUNSEL, who maintained their pressure on Ballymun with an emphatic 5-15 to 0-11 success over ROUND TOWER CLONDALKIN at the Community Centre.

Most of the damage was inflicted by their youthful inside-forward line with Barry Reilly, Alex Quinn and Dean Blood sharing 4-7.

Craig Walsh took a break from his SSE Airtricity League commitments with Bohemians to shine for the visitors while Collie Dowling and John O'Brien were others to feature prominently for Counsel.

Elsewhere, ST MARGARET'S, PARNELL'S, and CLANN MHUIRE all recorded valuable wins over LUCAN SARSFIELDS, ST FINIAN'S NEWCASTLE and ST BRIGID'S respectively.

In AFL3, CLONTARF continue to lead the way following their 0-16 to 0-7 win over ST VINCENT'S in St Anne's Park.

However, NA FIANNA remain in close contention as a dominant first-half performance helped them overcome NAOMH FIONNBARRA by 1-16 to 1-11 in The Bogies.

Ciarán Houlihan's first-half goal preceded a period of dominance by the visitors with Hugh Gallagher, Mark Cooper, James Higgins and Darragh Kennedy all excelling for Na Fianna while the impressive Shay Cloherty chipped in with six points.

In Seán Moore Park, the displays of Andy Dalton, Eiven Whelan and David Sheridan saw TRINITY GAELS defeat CLAN NA GAEL FONTENOY by 1-15 to 1-10.
