Kerry and Cork bound for open draw

KERRY and Cork last night rowed in behind a motion that means they could, in theory, be paired in a Munster SFC semi-final next summer.

Under a new system unanimously backed at last night's Munster Council meeting, a minor element of seeding remains in that this year's finalists (Kerry and Cork) receive byes into the last four. The remaining four counties are drawn in two quarter-finals, with the winners advancing to semi-finals decided by open draw.
