Jackies to shut door on O'Moore play-off hopes

Dublin v Laois

(Naomh Mearnóg, Tomorrow, 2.0)

THE Jackies have already done enough to reach the league semi-finals. Laois are still trying to get in the door, writes Niall Scully.

Meath rest just two points behind them. The Royals are away to Donegal. They should win there.

That will mean that Laois will have to get something in Portmarnock. Otherwise, it will be sand castles in the air. Dublin won't make it easy for them. This is only Dublin's second home fixture of the campaign.

They are seeking their fifth win. The Dubs lost their only other home outing against Cork at Ballyboden, and their second defeat came the last time out against Monaghan.

The intensity of the Cork and Monaghan ties are just the type of tests that Peter Clarke and his crew relish. The Dublin XV is beginning to get a lean and hungry look.

The Leinster Championship is just around the corner.

Laois have key personnel in Mary Kirwan and Tracey Lawlor. A fourth victory would be just the ticket.
