Jack to major with minors and end 20-year Kerry wait

KERRY v DONEGAL (Croke Park, Tomorrow, 1.15 live TG4)

JACK O'CONNOR (pictured) is well accustomed to Croke Park life in September, as manager of a hotly fancied Kerry. It's just that he's not usually directing the matinee event.

Kerry, 20 years without a minor title, been touted for great things under O'Connor. They have generally franked those expectations, even if it took a long time to confirm their obvious semi-final superiority over holders Mayo.

They got there in the end, by four points, and now face the first ever minor finalists from Donegal, who deserve to be taken seriously after showing their seniors the way by ambushing the Dubs.
