Dublin have been handed a chance to avenge last year's shock All-Ireland SHC exit to Laois after drawing Eddie Brennan's team in the quarter-final of this year's revamped Leinster championship.

The pair will meet on the weekend of October 24/25 with the prize of a meeting with Kilkenny in the Leinster semi-final up for grabs.

Last year, Laois dumped Kenny's team out at the All-Ireland preliminary quarter-final stage in O'Moore Park.

Wexford and Galway meanwhile, will clash in the province's other semi-final.

In football, Dublin and Meath have been kept apart until a potential Leinster SFC final after the draws for the last four were also made.

Last year's finalists will meet on October 17th/18th in Division 1 of the Allianz League but cannot now cross paths until the provincial decide, which will double-up as the centenary commemoration of Bloody Sunday on November 21.

Should Dessie Farrell's team make it a tenth Leinster title in a row, they will play the Ulster champions in this year's All-Ireland semi-final.
