DUBLIN NORTH are through to a clash with Good Counsel in the Leinster Colleges Senior 'A' competition after emerging from their group courtesy of a commanding 5-19 to 3-6 win over Dublin South in Alfie Byrne Park yesterday.
Two goals from Eoin O Conghaile - younger brother of Dublin senior footballer, Emmett O Conghaile - in the first half and another from Eoghan Smith helped the Northsiders into an unsurmountable lead, charging eight points ahead after just 10 minutes and wracking up a 17-point (3-12 to 0-4) differential by the break.
Whitehall Colmcille's Seán Gray helped himself to an impressive 1-8 (0-6f, 0-1 '65) over the hour, with the Northsiders at one stage building a 27-point margin, while Dublin minor Cian Boland also bagged 0-6 from play to cap a fine individual performance.
