Gavin rejigs attack for Blues' under-21 Leinster semi-final
DUBLIN u-21 manager Jim Gavin has made four changes to his side for tomorrow's Cadbury's Leinster U21FC semi-final against Carlow at Dr Cullen Park (4.0).
The one enforced change is Cian Mullins coming in for the suspended Darragh Nelson who received his marching orders against Louth last time out.
Mullins will take his place at midfield with fellow St Brigid's man Seán Murray moving to the heart of the defence. Dublin senior James McCarthy will take over the corner back duties from Nelson.
Given the huge wide count from that last eight clash it is no surprise that there are wholesale changes to the Dubs attack.
NUI Maynooth team-mates David Quinn (Na Fianna) and his namesake from Lucan Sarsfields will get the chance to reignite that partnership on the right side of the attack. Thomas Davis' Niall Brogan lines out at wing-forward.
Lorcan Siwale, Barry O'Rorke and Eoin Murray who all have to be content with a place on the bench. Also named among the subs are Ted Furman and Alan McCarrick who were both ruled out of the Louth game because of injury.
Meanwhile, Carlow boss Luke Dempsey has delayed naming his team until tonight. éire óg midfielder Eoghan Ruth is still carrying a leg injury which ruled him out of the win over Kilkenny.
Corner back Jeffrey O'Donoghue (Rathvilly) was suffering from gastric flu over weekend so he faces fitness test but looks likely to be ready.
