Dubs up to challenge of Galway says Daly

ANTHONY DALY is certain that his Dublin team are ready to "give a great performance" on Saturday in Tullamore (7.0) in their eagerly-anticipated Leinster SHC semi-final clash with Galway.

The Dubs boss takes his team into Leinster Championship combat with Galway for the first time, knowing the Tribesmen are the only side to beat Dublin in this calender year as the Dubs collected League and Walsh Cup honours.

“I for one am just wishing the days away until Saturday. I feel we have put in a great seasons work and are ready now to give a great performance,” says Daly.

“The preparation has been all but complete at this stage and what will count now is whichever team holds its bottle in the cauldron of a Leinster semi-final. Whoever is to win will need a great test to be ready to face the champions in this year’s final.

“The prize of avoiding the qualifiers is huge and a guaranteed quarter-final spot for the victors as well as a shot at taking the Bob O’Keeffe (Cup) so nothing will be held back on either side.”
