Dublin to pass test of faith

leinster mhc: dublin v offaly

Dublin's minor hurlers will hope to follow the example of their footballing counterparts when they face Offaly in their Electric Ireland Leinster Minor Hurling Championship first round tie in Parnell Park this afternoon (2.30).

Johnny McGuirk's outfit will look for a similarly positive result against a county that has struggled at underage level in recent times. However, Offaly enjoy the benefit of having already beaten Carlow in the championship a fortnight ago with the free-taking of Conor Molloy central to their 1-19 to 0-10 victory in Tullamore.

Donal Burke's absence with an ankle injury is certainly a loss for an inexperienced side but the Dubs still look well primed to progress.
