Dublin Ladies Board Notes

New Dublin captain

Ballyboden St Enda's star Gemma Fay has been chosen to captain Dublin for 2012, while Sinead Goldrick of Foxrock Cabinteely has been announced as the Dublin vice-captain for this season. Congratulations to both players and their respective clubs for their efforts.

Dates for your diary

The closing date for adult players regarding applications is February 6. Forms can be downloaded from our website. There will be County Board meetings on Tuesday, February 14th from 7:30pm in Parnell Park and Saturday, February 18th from 2pm in Le Chéile, Donnycarney Community Centre.

Items for inclusion on the agenda (correspondence/transfers, etc) for the meeting on the 14th must be submitted to the office before 5pm on February 7th. The meeting on the 18th will deal with team gradings for 2012.

Disciplinary workshop

Dublin LGFA is conducting a disciplinary workshop on Monday, February 6 from 7.30pm in Le Chéile Donnycarney Community Centre. The workshop is aimed at members who will be serving on the County Disciplinary Committee for the coming year. Anyone interested in serving on this important committee is asked to contact disciplinary chairperson Charlie O'Reilly for more info on 086-1549263.

Referees' courses 2012

A level 2 referees' course for existing Ladies referees will take place on the 24/26/31 of January and February 2nd. All referees must attend both the theory and practical sessions. To confirm your place on the course please contact Paul McLoughlin on 086-2503844.

Two Grab Your Whistle courses aimed at recruiting new Ladies referees will be held on the 10/11 Feb and 18/19 Feb, details on both courses and venues will be posted on our website and circulated to all clubs shortly. The course fee is €20 and participants must be over 16 years of age.

Bord Gais Energy NFL

Dublin will open their 2012 NFL league campaign away to Kildare on February 5th, with a venue and time to be announced soon.
