Dublin and Dub Stars out to impress boss

A new dawn over the city. The curtain opens with Dublin's camogie date against the Dub Stars next Tuesday, December 27, at the home of Parnell's (1pm).

Thirteen new names on the Dublin squad for 2017. But the curtains will remain open.

And the Dub Stars duel is another chance to get in the notebook of David Herity and his management team.

It's a much changed Dublin panel. Some top names have left the building. Their loyalty could only be admired and will echo as an inspiration to the current crew.

Yet there is still a spine of experience in the group.

And moulding the Barry's gold blend will be the target for the five-time All-Ireland winning goalkeeper.

There's a cluster of St Vincent's players included in the mix. And the Dublin champions had another campaign to be proud of.

Not only in Dublin, but in their exploits in the Leinster final against Kilkenny's Thomastown in Parnell Park.

The Marino girls had a hand and four fingers on the trophy until a late goal opened the gates of Heartbreak Hotel.

Yet like Cuala in the hurling, St Vincent's heroics that day lifted all.

Tuesday's Dub Stars double-bill at Parnell's will begin with the Premier Junior game (11am).
