Dublin improved significantly after the break to ease past Offaly by thirteen points in their Tier 1 encounter at Parnell Park on Saturday afternoon.

Having conceded a third-minute goal to Offaly's Dan Murray, Dublin maintained their challenge thanks to a brace of points from Dara Purcell and four Charlie Keher frees edged the hosts in front by the end of the first quarter.

Offaly's half-back line impressed during this period as they regained their lead through scores by Murray and Luke Nolan but Keher's accuracy from placed balls ensured a narrow 0-12 to 0-17 interval lead for Dublin.

Dublin looked far more assured upon the restart with two points from the influential Ben McSweeney increasing their lead while Tommy O'Brien and Davy Crowe showed well in their full-back line.

Purcell and Brendan Scanlon chipped in with two points apiece as the half progressed with Dublin finishing the game on a high as Luke Swan powered down the middle before firing a superb goal in the 60th minute.
