CUALA will have to wait until this Saturday to find out their opponents in the last four of the Dublin IFC after Scoil Uí Chonaill and Clanna Gael Fontenoy drew 0-13 apiece in their entertaining quarter-final at Alfie Byrne Road last night.
Jason Redmond proved the saviour for the Ringsend men with a string of top class saves while at the opposite end Darren Delaney kicked a levelling score in injury-time to necessitate Saturday's replay, scheduled for O'Toole Park (4.0), with the winner facing Cuala next Wednesday night. Scoil led by 0-7 to 0-5 at the interval with points from Eoin O'Carroll, wing-back Aidan Mulvey and Ruairí Cody and also enjoyed a numerical advantage as Clanns were reduced to 14 men at the end of the first quarter.
Scoil remained on top with Alan Cronin, Eoin O'Connell and Dave Ryan all impressing defensively but driven on by Kevin Mullaly and David Lyons, Clanna Gael ensured another day out through an excellent Ciarán Divily score and Delaney's late intervention.
The final is on Sunday, November 6 (1.45) before the Dublin SFC decider.
