Cuala crave victory over Craobh
Dublin SHC 'A' Grp 3, Craobh Chiaráin v Cuala (Parnell Park, Today, 4.0)
It's fair to say it's not the ideal circumstances for Craobh as they take on the two-time All-Ireland club champions.
They have a short enough turnaround after losing to Ballyboden St Enda's last Tuesday evening although they impressed for the large part with full-back Eugene Farrell in excellent form.
However, their forward line suffered without the talents of Paul Kelly although Cian Derwin looks a fine prospect as Craobh continue their rebuilding following some lean years in recent times.
There has been so much written about Cuala over the past three years and all the column inches have been well merited.
Six players were announced this week on the All-Ireland Club Hurling Team of the Year with Seán Brennan, Seán Moran, Cian O'Callaghan, Darragh O'Connell, David Treacy and Con O'Callaghan all well deserving of their accolades.
Seán Treacy could well have featured on that list, given the massive influence he exerted both in Leinster and on the All-Ireland series and all through the team, there are proven performers in their line-up such as the versatile Jake Malone and Colm Cronin.
Con O'Callaghan may be absent after missing their footballers win over Templeoge Synge Street last Sunday but they should still have far too much for Chiaráin's in terms of depth and athleticism.
