Cork's O'Sullivan off the hook for Connolly elbow
CORK footballer Jamie O'Sullivan will face no sanction for his clash with Diarmuid Connolly in the Division 1 League final and is free to play for the Rebels in their Munster SFC semi-final against Clare on June 14th, writes Conor McKeon.
O'Sullivan was not penalised during the match after a late challenge on Connolly, during which his elbow made contact with the Dublin's player's jaw.
As referee Pádraig Hughes took no action, a retrospective investigation was left with the Central Competitions Control Committee, who reportedly viewed the footage in days afterwards.
However, the Cork county board have received no word about a potential ban and as such, O'Sullivan will not be suspended.
