COME and join the Jackies Army.

COME and join the Jackies Army.

That's the cry on the capital's streets this week as the county countdown continues ahead of Sunday's TG4 All-Ireland Ladies Senior Football Championship final against Cork in Croke Park.

Dublin officials are appealing to all in the Dublin GAA community to head to HQ and support the girls in Blue.

"A big Dublin crowd would be worth a couple of points to us on the day, so we'd urge all Dubs to come out and cheer us on," says star Dublin defender Sorcha Furlong.

Turning homes, schools and work-places blue is the theme of the week in the city as manager Gregory McGonigle and his squad fine-tune their preparations.

The occasion will mark Dublin's return to All-Ireland final day since they first won the Brendan Martin Cup with a stunning show against Tyrone in 2010.

The Leinster champions have been in excellent form all season, and the players are now hoping that their status as 'Dublin's last team standing' will encourage a massive response from the public.

Sunday's programme offers an All-Ireland final treble treat with New York playing Wexford in the Junior (11.45) and Down meeting Fermanagh in the Intermediate (1.45) before the main event at 4.pm.
