Carr nominated for Donegal job
PADDY CARR, the manager who led Kilmacud Crokes to an All-Ireland club title in 2009, has been nominated to fill the Donegal hotseat, writes Frank Roche.
The much-travelled coach is a native of Donegal and has been proposed by Fanad Gaels, from where he originally hailed.
SEAMUS PRENDERGAST has called time on his 15-year inter-county hurling career with Waterford, admitting the failure to land that elusive All-Ireland title remains his one "big disappointment".
"Missing out on an All-Ireland was the biggest thing. We achieved a lot from where Waterford were coming from. The team that was there always thought we were good enough to win an All-Ireland. We just didn't achieve it," the 34 year-old reflected.
