STEPHEN Bray is expected to make a return to Royal service this Sunday when Meath take on Carlow in Tullamore (2.0).
The former Meath captain was struck down with a hamstring injury in the build up to their Leinster opener with Wicklow two weeks back, but has recovered sufficiently in the interim to be considered for selection again.
Most likely, Alan Forde or Mark Collins -- both debutants in that Dr Cullen park victory -- will make way but 'Banty' may be tempted to go with the same team which started that hugely pressurised match and afford himself the luxury of introducing Bray -- along with fellow injury returnee, Paddy Gilsenan -- from the bench.
McEnaney has lost veteran defender Caoimhín King from his panel but expects to have Gary O'Brien back in full training this week.
BENNY Coulter is hoping for a "miracle" in his audacious bid to play for Down against Monaghan in their next Ulster SFC. The Mourne county captain broke his ankle just five weeks ago but has set June 24 as the date for his ambitious comeback.
"I'm meant to be going back to the surgeon in Belfast on June 16 to get the cast off and see if the ankle is healed but we're hoping to move it forward a few days," Coulter insisted.
"I hope to see him at the end of this week and if there is any chance I can get to play in the semi-final, I'll push for it. If the physio tells me I'll do a bit of damage by playing, I'll play anyway. I've played with injuries throughout my career and I'm not going to stop now."
