Ballymun continue to set the pace

BALLYMUN KICKHAMS preserved their perfect start to the Dublin Adult Football League Division 1 campaign following a comfortable 3-12 to 0-6 victory over THOMAS DAVIS at Páirc Ciceam last night.

Enda Dolan, Paddy Christie, Karl Connolly and James Burke all impressed defensively for the hosts with goals from a Dean Rock penalty, Shane Forde and the excellent Kevin Leahy pushing Kickhams to their ninth successive win.

At Russell Park, ST BRIGID'S pulled away in the final ten minutes with goals from Ken Darcy and Ciarán Slane helping the county champions record a hard-earned six point win (2-12 to 1-9) over ST MAUR'S.

Martin Cahill, Cian Mullins and Lorcan McCarthy all figured prominently for the hosts but the biggest cheer of the night was reserved for Kevin Bonner, who marked his lengthy return from injury with a late point.

ST VINCENT'S continue to struggle near the foot of the table after they were comprehensively beaten by BALLYBODEN ST ENDA'S at Sancta Maria.

Paul Galvin's goal in the first-half helped 'Boden to a 1-5 to 0-5 interval lead while Andrew Kerin's strike and solid displays from Daragh Nelson, Bob Dwane, Mark O'Sullivan and Paul O'Brien saw the hosts cruise to a ten-point win (2-12 to 0-8).
