Ballyfermot backing songbird Sinead's bid

SINEAD O'BRIEN has the voice of an angel. She'll be on RTE next Sunday week, March 24.

Sinead has progressed to the latter stages of the popular programme 'The Voice of Ireland'.

She'll be trying to get the vote of the judges, Kian Egan, Sharon Corr, Jamelia and Bressie.

Sinead will have the whole of 'Ballyer' behind her. She plays on the Ballyfermot De La Salle minor team.

Her favourite footballer is Bernard Brogan, but music is her first love. She has a wide taste, including Edel, Emile Sande, Snow Patrol and Florence and the Machine.

The best film she saw was High School Musical and when not busy rehearsing or football training, Sinead likes to look at Glee on the telly.

Ballyfermot DLS had a recent fund-raiser for the club in Tesco of Ballyfermot. Sinead helped out.

Mary Byrne worked on the till there. She ended up singing with Neil Diamond in Lansdowne Road.

In Ballyfermot, all are hoping that Sinead can also climb the stairway to stardom.
