THE BIG 2-0 APPROACHING... for Danny Griffin, the sponsorship king of the Firhouse Road.
Remarkably, this is Danny's 19th year on the Ballyboden St Enda's committee.
So many teams have benefited from Danny's magical ways in persuading the business community to support the club.
Danny has made life so much easier for so many teams and, as far as sponsorship is concerned, with Danny on the bridge there will be no recession at Pairc Uí Mhurchú.
GOLDEN KEY... Taoiseach Brian Cowen will be at Lucan Sarsfields next Sunday to officially open the club's new all-weather pitch.
It will add considerably to the fab facilities at the 12th Lock.
REF RESECT... the ex-Dublin referee Gerry Grehan writes a column in the Wicklow Times.
This week he penned a piece on the new rules, focusing on the mark and recalling the wonder of Mick O'Connell reaching for the stars.
"The mark will give much needed protection to the man who makes the clean catch around the middle of the park. It's worth a go," argues Gerry, who adds: "We need to get the respect back for the man in the middle.
"Any challenging of the referee's authority should be penalised with a 14-yard free."
