Armagh and Cork hit with suspensions and €5,000 fines

ARMAGH and Cork have become the latest counties to be hit with €5,000 fines as the GAA continues its early-season war on ill-discipline while the CCCC have handed out suspensions to the two counties.

Michael Shields has been banned for two matches after he was retrospectively adjudged to have committed a red card offence in the draw with the Orchard County on February 5 - his second inside 12 months - while Pearse O'Neill has been given a one match suspension.

In addition, Malachy Mackin and Ciarán McKeever have been banned for one match each.
