Forest chasing loan deal for Grealish
STUART Pearce will this week try to complete a deal to bring Ireland U21 star Jack Grealish to Nottingham Forest on loan.
Grealish is highly rated at Villa Park and earlier this month signed a new four-year deal to keep him at the club until 2018, but the teenager is struggling to get first-team football.
He has yet to start a Premier League game for Villa and didn't even make the bench for last night's game away to QPR.
The 19-year-old had a spell out on loan last season, to Forest's local rivals Notts County, and Pearce hopes that the offer of first-team football at the City Ground and his links with Villa assistant Keane can lure the player to the club.
Meanwhile, Pearce says he has yet to decide whether to recall Forest's Irish winger Stephen McLaughlin from his loan spell at Notts County.
"We will have a look at it and, if we feel that Steve can come back in and add to the squad, we will bring him back, if that is the proper thing to do," Pearce said. "If we feel as though his experience, at this moment in his career, is best suited by playing at Notts County, we will make that decision. We will decide that over the weekend."
