SEAN St Ledger will try to get the better of his Ireland team-mate Kevin Doyle when the pair clash in the MLS tonight.
While Doyle is still in the bedding-in phase of his MLS career following last month's move to Colorado Rapids from Wolves, St Ledger is going from strength to strength with his side, Orlando City.
Orlando are at home to Doyle's side this evening, boasting a four-game unbeaten home run and while they lost away to Montreal Impact last weekend, Ireland man St Ledger caught the eye in the loss. "I thought Sean St. Ledger was outstanding," said Orlando boss Adrian Heath.
St Ledger initially struggled to get into the side but he's been a fixture in the starting XI for the last seven games and while ex-Brazil star Kaka hogs the headlines whenever Orlando play, St Ledger's efforts in defence have earned him praise, with St Ledger recently stating his ambition to play for Ireland again.
Doyle has yet to score in four appearances for Colorado and he has been dropped to the bench for their last two games, the Wexford man coming on as a sub in last week's 1-1 draw with FC Dallas.
