Liverpool have confirmed new signing Roberto Firmino will start the season with the number 11 shirt, while James Milner will get the iconic number seven.
The club's new £29m Brazilian international, who asked to be given the same number as he wears for his country, was pictured in the famous red strip for the first time on their official Instagram page.
The 23-year-old was one of the most feared goalscorers in the Bundesliga last season, and will hope to replicate his success at Anfield.
Milner will officially become a Liverpool player on July 1 and take the seven shirt, which was previously worn by club legends including Kenny Dalglish, Kevin Keegan, and Luis Suarez before his move to Barcelona
Meanwhile, another new signing, Danny Ings, was offered a high-placed shirt number but declined as he says he wants to earn his place among Liverpool legends.
He will now start the season as number 28.
