Feile fever

p Féile fever should be starting about now! Exciting times and a great honour for Dublin clubs and County Board. Barbara Grennell, secretary of the Camogie Féile Committee, will send Entry forms etc. to all clubs during this week.

p Garda Vetting for Féile is very important. Each club Féile organiser must ensure that all relevant Garda Vetting forms are forwarded to Ray Quigley, The Oil, Oylegate, Enniscorthy, Wexford before 30 January. Any queries contact Pat Martin at Patrick@drquirkeys.ie

p The first County Board Meeting of the New Year will be on Monday, 30 January in Parnell Park. All regrading requests, transfer requests and registrations must be submitted at this meeting. For regrading requests: Any adult player who played at a grade higher than her registered grade in Championship will require regarding.

p If there has been a change of Camogie secretary recently in your club please inform An Rúnaí of the County Board. All official correspondence should be forwarded to An Rúnaí, Mona O'Sullivan at runai@dublincamogie.com or to Mona O'Sullivan, Rúnaí, 4 Orlagh Court, Knocklyon, Dublin 16. Please note that email is the preferred method of correspondence.

p Dublin Senior Team had another challenge game this weekend v Loughgiel, Antrim as part of their preparation for the upcoming National League. Loughgiel are preparing for this year's Senior All-Ireland Club semi-finals. So this game was a very worthwhile workout for both teams in cold, windy conditions but the pitch was in great condition. Final Score Dublin 3-13 Loughgiel 2-7. Our thanks to Naomh Mearnóg for their excellent, as usual, hosting this game.

p The Dublin minor and junior players had great challenge games v Na Fianna seniors in the Phoenix Park on Sunday. Well done to players and mentors.

p Best of luck to Nuala O'Donovan, Whitehall Colmcille camogie player and former Dublin minor and Junior player, who is travelling to South Africa in November as part of the Niall Mellon Township Project. The UL Student is seeking your support. You can contact Nuala at nualagoesbuilding@gmail.com.

p Well done to Lucan who held their very successful Adult Awards night on Friday. Congrats to Kate Whyte who was voted Lucan's Player of the Year 2011.

p Level 1 'Get Hooked' coaching course will take place on the Friday 10th, Saturday 11th and Saturday 18th February in Good Counsel. This Workshop is aimed at anyone coaching juvenile teams -- details will be posted when they become available.
