TWO of Dublin's top sports-women got on their bikes for charity.
Aisling Jordan (St Vincent's) and Anne Griffin (Ballyboden St Enda's) have played against each other in many big matches over the years.
But they put down their hurls, and with their friend, Zara Hynes, cycled from Celbridge to Galway.
It was the Console East to West Cycle. It was a distance of 200km.
The event proved a successful fund-raiser for Console, the National Suicide Charity.
Aisling and Anne have played with distinction for the Dubs.
Anne is the Queen of the two-pointer sideline, while Aisling is also a first-class runner.
The theme of the cycle was to highlight the importance of exercise and nutrition, and community participation, in maintaining a healthy mind and body.
Zara and the Dublin duo had no bother in taking the yellow jersey.
