Doyle Out, Best In
THE tamest January transfer window on record could yet end with a bang for Ireland strikers Kevin Doyle and Leon Best.
Wolves are waiting for a firm offer from Everton after Doyle’s continuing goal drought and inability to command a first team place under Mick McCarthy alerted Everton boss David Moyes to the possibility of a deal.
Moyes is also tracking Rangers hitman Nikica Jelavic and is desperate to acquire some new firepower up front before the window slams shut tomorrow.
Doyle has only started one of the last six Premier League fixtures for Wolves and knows that his Euro 2012 place is at risk if he cannot get regular football.
Best is waiting in the wings, with McCarthy keen to bring the Irish striker to Molineux on loan should Doyle make the move to Goodison Park.
