Dalo will be hit on the box for Setanta

GOOD to see Dalo on Setanta. He'll brighten up the hurling year for the viewer.

He has always been good with the media. There's a touch of the Daniel O'Donnell's about him! He can remember everybody's name.

Over on Sky, Gary Neville settled quickly into the chair. They now say he's one of the best in the business.

Senan Connell has also done well under the studio lights.

He has emerged as another Setanta Star. No doubt, Anthony Daly will do the same.

The former Dublin manager is well used to the radio. He has been an RTé co-pilot on the biggest of days.

People are still talking, and buying, his book. Johnny Lyons, over at 98Fm, interviewed him on the book tour.

Anthony was so good that Johnny had to have two Sundays to broadcast the interview. You couldn't leave out anything.

Johnny was charmed by how honest Dalo was. And he only wished all his guests would be as forthcoming.

Setanta have made a wise signing. Everybody will be tuning in to the offerings of the Clare champion.

Carr's son a top ace

TOMMY Carr's son, Simon, is a top tennis talent.

Only 15, he won the National Indoor U18 tennis title at Riverview. He trains hard at the Irish Tennis Academy at DCU.

He has a sound mentor in the former Dublin captain and manager. Talking about sport, Tommy was saying that all the talent in the world is never enough.

You have to put in the graft. The desire has to come from within.

Simon is on the right road. His dream is to walk out at Wimbledon. Wouldn't it be great to see a Dub in the Player's Box on the centre-court?
