Crokes ready for Kerry test

THE Kilmacud journey goes on. It will take them to the Kingdom next Sunday.

They have an appointment with Castleisland Desmonds in the semi-final of the Tesco All-Ireland Intermediate Club Championship.

It's another step into history for the Stillorgan side who lifted their first Leinster title last month.

"More and more people in the club are now interested in ladies football because of our success," notes manager, Tommy Doran.

Tommy manages the side with Daphne Lamb, Mick Regan and Donal Gallagher. Donald Whoriskey is the physio.

"We had to dig deep to get over Sarsfields. And it was the same against Simonstown.

"Winning Dublin and Leinster is a tribute to all the work everybody has put in. For us, it's very much a squad effort.

"It's lovely to be part of a run like this. Everybody in the club is excited by it. And it's fantastic now to be preparing for an All-Ireland semi-final."
