ST BRIGID'S under-14s are history makers. The hurling side captured the All-Ireland Féile na nGael Division 1 title at Croke Park on Saturday after a pulsating extra-time win over Galway's Clarinbridge

The Christy Ring trophy will now takes it's place beside the football crown won only a fortnight ago making Brigid's the first club ever to win a Division 1 All-Ireland double.

Tiernan McGlynn's goal looked set to be the clinching score in the dramatic finale as the Dublin 15 side led by 1-6 to 0-6 entering the final seconds before Clarinbridge forces extra-time.

The momentum appeared to be swinging in the direction of the Galway lads until the superb Johnny McGuirk showed nerves of steel to slot over a brace of frees and ensured that the trophy was heading to Russell Park.
