BOARD NOTES

p Dublin Camogie Convention 2013 will be held in Parnell Park on Monday 2 December 2013. Registration will be at 7pm sharp. Convention papers have been sent to all clubs.

pDublin's GAA family (football, hurling, camogie and ladies football) is now sponsored by AIG Ireland. This new partnership between Dublin GAA and AIG Ireland sees AIG exclusively sponsoring the county's hurling, football, camogie and ladies football teams at all levels. This is the first time in Dublin's GAA history that players in all codes have been united under one sponsor and will be wearing the same jersey.

pWell done Louise O'Hara (Erins Isle) who was Camogie's representative at the official launch of the new Dublin jersey in the Ivy Gardens on Tuesday, 12 November. The full kit is now available for purchase in retail outlets nationwide.

pCalling Female Referees of the future: A new starter referee course aimed at increasing the number of female referees in the game of Camogie will begin in mid-January 2014. We are asking any ex-players, adult players or female mentors, who wish to become referees to attend. pA foundation level camogie coaching course 'Caman Get a Grip' will take place Friday 22nd & Saturday 23rd November in Erins Isle GAA Club. The course will cover various modules including - role of the coach, skill development, hurley and grips, fundamentals, planning a session & mini games. This course is aimed at parents and mentors of go games age group players (U8-U12) and is a great starting point for those wanting to learn the basics of the game, upskill/increase knowledge of the game and receive a certified qualification.
